Bettye Bailey Chandler

Rogersville: Bettye Bailey Chandler, age 83 of Rogersville, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical following a extended illness. She was a member of Maple Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Bettye retired from Dodge Reliance after 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband James L. Chandler, Sr.; daughter, Jamis K. Anderson and parents, Chris C. and Maude Cody Bailey.

Survivors include  two sons, James L. Chandler Jr. and wife, Sharon and Mark Lee Chandler all of Rogersville; grandchildren, Michael Chandler and wife, Rebecca, Joshua Chandler and wife, Lori, Lee Chandler and wife, Danielle, Christian Chandler and Katie Chandler, Jeremy Williams and wife, Ashley and Joey Williams; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Faye Henegar of Rogersville and Ina Morrell  and husband, Frankof Nashville  and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Virgil Lipe and  Mike Chandler officiating. Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
