Ivan Solomon Obituary

Mooresburg: Ivan Alvin Solomon, age 81,  passed away Sunday, April 15, at his home.  He was born May 23, 1936 in Greeneville, TN, to the late Dale and Georgia Ruth Harmon Solomon.  Ivan served in the U.S. Army and worked at the American Enka for many years.  He was a lifelong farmer, talented whittler, and loved to fish.  In addition to his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by an infant sister; infant brother; brother, David (Billie Rae) Solomon; sister, Ona (Ivan) Cook; grandson, Billy Joe Solomon; sister-in-law, Mary Carden; brother-in-law, Lee Carden; former wife, Lura (Wolfe) Solomon.

Ivan is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pauline (Wright) Solomon; children, Tim Solomon, Kim Costner, Dale (Marie) Solomon, Patricia (Tony Moore) Wright and Karen Wright; grandchildren, Kelsey Solomon, Kameron (Shantelle) Solomon, Tristan Solomon, Shannon Price, Kyle Moore and Ian Moore; great-granddaughter, Abbagail Solomon; sister, Gladys Solomon; brother, Wayne Solomon; special niece, Barbara (Chris) McCamey; best friend, Kenny Kimbrough; favorite dog, Chum; and many more relatives and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Michael Tan, the staff at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital, the Rehab Center at Lakeway Regional, UT Home Health, and the Hawkins County EMS.

At Ivan's request, there will be no service or calling hours.
