Rogersville: Oney Blonde Livesay went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the age of 88, at Takoma Regional Hospital. She was born April 15, 1929 in Kyles Ford, TN. She was the youngest of 12 children of Jimmy and Doshie Wallen. Mrs. Livesay was a member of Willis Chapel Church and attended Hope Community Church until unable to attend. She faithfully listened to TV evangelist, Dr. Charles Stanly and John Hagee.
Mrs. Livesay was a homemaker, retired farmer and an excellent cook. She enjoyed gardening, canning, freezing, sewing, quilting and crocheting. Mrs. Livesay was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Arnold Albert Livesay; infant son, James Edward Livesay; sisters, Stella Wallen, Cleo Bevins, Bessie Hall and Ruby Eldridge; brothers, Worley, J.D., Earnest, Elmer, John, Harley and Doyle Wallen; special dog, Austin.
Survivors inculde son, Waymon Livesay; daughter, Edith Gulley and husband, Ted; caregiver, Arlena Lawson; special nephew, Jerry Wallen; special nieces, Bea Best, Betty Amos, Helen Coyle, Lucy Petre, Brenda Evans and Joan Nelms; sister-in-laws, Iona Wallen, Kathleen Long, Faye Graham (Kenney) Mary Jo (Alden) Vaughn, Deloris (Johnny) Ramsey, Volena (Howard) Gulley; brother-in-law; Roy (Judy) Livesay and John (Barbara) Livesay
Visitation hours will be 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Jones officiating and Charby Jones singing. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
