Charles "Humpy" Willis

Rogersville:  Charles "Humpy" Willis, age 80 of Rogersville, passed away, Monday, September 2, 2019 at Ballad Health Holston Valley Medical Center.  He was retired from AFG following 30+ years of service.  Humpy was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Betty Hurd Willis; sisters, Virginia Winstead, Geneva Hurd and Evelyn Lawson; brother, Eugene "Speedy" Willis.

He is survived by wife of 57 years, Nancy Willis; son, Tim Willis of Rogersville; granddaughters, Brittany Willis and Brandi Willis; great-grandchildren, Ty, Brennan, Kenley, Leah, Benson and Brayson; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 5, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Lawson officiating.  Burial will follow in Hawkins County Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Hawkins County Color Guard and the Tennessee Army National Guard.
