David Lee Elkins

Rogersville: David Lee Elkins, age 70, of Rogersville, passed away Wednesday, Oct 3, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a member of Rogersville First Baptist Church. David was employed by the Rogersville Water Filter Plant for  30 plus years.He was a generous person and was owner and operator of Elkins Auction and Realty Co. . He enjoyed antique cars and motorcycles.David was preceded in death by his son, David Alexander Elkins, parents, Henry and May Brewer Elkins.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Long Elkins of the home, son, Caleb Elkins of Rogersville and daughter, Dana Price and husband, Michael of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Harper Price, Ella Price and Heidi Price;  brother, Gene Elkins and wife, Peggy  of Rogersville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronald and Sara Gilliam; a number of nieces and nephews; special friend, Terry Thomas..
Visitation hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.Friday, October 5, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 5, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Andy Willis and Rev. Ronald Gilliam officiating. Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Highland Cemetery.
