Rogersville: Douglas Dingus, age 86 of Rogersville, passed away, Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at his residence following an extended illness. He retired from the ASG glass plant. Following his retirement he worked several farmer's markets. Mr. Dingus was well known in several surrounding counties for his teaching about God's Kingdom as one of Jehova's Witnesses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Laura Kate Compton Dingus.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby C. Dingus; son, David Kirk Dingus and fiancée, Valerie Sandidge and her son, Jordan Sandidge of Church Hill; daughter, Evangeline Nylander and husband, David of Dallas, TX; step-grandson, Randy Pleasant; sister, Cheryl Smith of Traveler's Rest, SC; brother, Ronnie Dingus of Kingsport.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses, 104 Regency Dr, Rogersville, TN with brother Roy Laster officiating.
