Rogersville: Georgia Louise Kenner, age 89 of Rogersville, she was born December 30, 1928 and passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at home surrounded by her children. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a young woman and was baptized at Choptack Baptist Church. Mrs. Kenner lived a blessed life and went home to be with her devoted husband of 36 years. She had a large family whom she loved and sacrificed for and was their rock. Mrs. Kenner loved going for rides, singing and listening to her second love Willie Nelson. She loved camping and going to home group where she was their song leader. Mrs. Kenner will be missed by all that knew her as she never met a stranger and welcomed many into her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Carrie Klepper; husband, Kelsie Kenner, Sr.; sisters, Ruth Byington, Lillie Davenport, Evelyn House, Marie Dykstra, Kathleen Buchanan and Jenny Gross; brother, Bill Klepper; children, Randall Kenner and Jean Shipley; son-in-law, Bill Horner; grandson, Tony Kenner.
She is survived by her children, David Klepper, Jerry (Marian) Lee, Jimmy Ray (Dee) Kenner, Odessa Fain, Marcella Horner, Janie (Wendell) McPeek, Paula (David) Bradley, Andy (Charlotte) Kenner; she raised two grandchildren, Debbie Shipley and Lynn Shipley after their mothers passing; 27 grandchilren; 56 great-grandchildren; 20 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Ina Hatfield and Beatrice (June) Eidson; daughter-in-law, Barbara Kenner; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday, August 13, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M., Monday, August 13, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. George "Fuzz" Bradley and Elder Homer Bryan officiating. Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Highland Cemetery.
