Homer Kyle Tackett, Sr.

Rogersville:  Homer Kyle Tackett, Sr., age 72 of Rogersville, passed away, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Ballad Health Holston Valley Medical Center.  He was retired from TRW following 25 1/2 years of service.  Homer was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.  He was preceded death his parents, Charles and Flossie Richie Tackett; infant twins; sister, Ruth Poarch; brother, Rufus "Pop" Tackett.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda Tackett; daughters, Lisa Housewright and husband, Eric of Church Hill, Jennifer Parker and husband, Robert of Bulls Gap, Melissa Price and husband, Eugene of Knoxville, daughter and special caregiver, Amanda Sue Seals of Rogersville; sons, Homer Kyle Tackett, Jr. and girlfriend, Christy of Rogersville, Jeffrey Tackett of Eidson; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Tackett of VA; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Trent officiating.  Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Harrison Cemetery.
