Isaac Monroe "Bobaw" Price, Jr.

Rogersville:  Isaac Monroe "Bobaw" Price, age 91 of Rogersville, completed his earthly journey and went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. He was a member and deacon of Gills Chapel Baptist Church in Mooresburg. Mr. Price attended Rogersville High School. He entered the U. S. Army near the end of World War II, where he was in the occupation forces of Japan. He often spoke Japanese for the remainder of his life, much to the confusion of those around him. He was a welder by trade and worked at AFG glass plant before retiring from Rockwell Automotive (formerly Dodge Reliance) following 20 years of service. Mr. Price made many friends among his co-workers. Mr. Price was a member of Overton Lodge No. 5 F. & A.M. and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.  He was a member of Hasson Chapter No. 179, Order of Eastern Star where he was a former Worthy Patron. "Ike" was known for his sense of humor, his deep faith, and love for his family. He enjoyed camping, UT football and his grandsons' ballgames. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac M. and Virginia Brooks Price; Sr.; sister, Frances Harrell; several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Reba Matney Price; daughter, Donna Golden of Rogersville; grandsons, Gregory A. Golden, Jr. and wife, Stacie of Yadkinville, NC, Geremy B. Golden and wife, Emily of Rogersville; great-grandchildren, Galen Golden, Elijah Golden, Briana Golden and Kenner Golden; nieces, Dianne Myers and Gail Harrell; nephew, Kenny Harrell. The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to Avalon Hospice, Julia Ann Russell and Johnnie Lawson.
Visitation hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.  Masonic funeral rites will be performed by Overton Lodge No. 5 F. & A.M. prior to the funeral service.
Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M., Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kenneth Luckadoo and Dr. Andy Willis officiating.  Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 13, 2018 at Highland Cemetery with military honors provided by the Hawkins County Color Guard and Tennessee Army National Guard.
