Rogersville: Mary Elizabeth Linkous, age 86 of Rogersville passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the residence of her son, Mark Linkous following an extended illness. She was a member of Faith Assembly. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Berton "Bert" Linkous, son, David Linkous; mother, Hessie Goins; granddaughter, Mary Helen Linkous; brothers, Robert "Toe" Bare and Hugh "Ted" Kyle Bare and great grandson, Brody Linkous.

Survivors include three sons, Bob Linkous and Judy Cox , Mark Linkous and wife, Lisa both of Rogersville and Al Linkous and wife, K. C. of Gate City, VA; former daughter-in-law, Brenda Linkous of Mt. Carmel; sisters-in-law; Penny Bare and Betty Bare; grandchildren, Robbie Linkous, Josh Linkous, Tommy Linkous, David Linkous, April Lowe, Ryan Linkous, Brent Linkous, Jon Linkous, Cassidy Linkous, Bruce Estep and Ricky Estep; 27 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Tammy Courtney, caregiver, and Amedysis Home Health and Hospice.

Visitation hours will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Ray Courtney, Rev. Floyd Ward, Rev. Mark Linkous and Rev. Robbie Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
