Kingsport: Phyllis Thompson Davidson Williams, age 75 of Kingsport, formerly of Rogersville, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Beverly Park Place, Knoxville, following an extended illness. In 1977 she began working for the Sullivan County School System as a special education bus driver until her retirement in 2007 following 30 years of service. After retiring she was employed with Frontier Health and Something Precious Fine Jewelry for several years. Phyllis accepted Christ in her twenties and was Baptized at Henard's Chapel Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Ruble E. and Mary E. Thompson; son, Neil Lee Davidson; daughter, Elizabeth Kelley Davidson; brothers, Rev. Ruble Edgar Thompson, Jr. and Kyle Stanley Thompson; and the father of her children, Ken Davidson.
She is survived by her very special nephew, J. Kendrick Thompson; beloved great-niece, Nicole Thompson; sister-in-law, Cheryl Thompson Wiggins; special cousin and friend, Trudy Shea; special cousin, Billie Sue Grant; special friends, Charlotte McClellan and Donna Henderson.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Highland Cemetery with Rev. Cheryl Wiggins officiating. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 P.M.
