Violet May Ramey

Whitesburg:  Violet M. Bacon Ramey, age 86 of Whitesburg, formerly of Kingston, IL, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Signature HealthCARE of Rogersville.  She was the Methodist faith.  Mrs. Ramey was preceded in death by her husband, Claude S. Ramey; son, Paul Ramey.

Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Harris of Fairview Heights, IL, Edythe M. Ramey of GA and Laurle "Babe" Seals of Whitesburg; four sons, Robert Ramey and wife, Vickie of Bulls Gap, Leonard Ramey and wife, Cathy of Greeneville and Russell Ramey and wife, Wilma of Rogersville; two sisters, Georgia Jones and Laurel Cornell both of Kingston, IL; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville and 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Kingston United Methodist Church, 121 West First St., Kingston, IL

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the church with Rev. Jackie Wills officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mayfield Cemetery in Sycamore, IL
