William Brooks Obituary

Rogersville: William "Bill" Brooks, age 78 of Rogersville, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.  He was  a member of First Christian Church of Rogersville. Mr. Brooks was a veteran having retired from the U.S. Army.  In addition to the military he was also retired from Holston Defense.  Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Gertrude Davis Brooks; sister, Mary Sue Russell; brothers, Paul Douglas Brooks, Johnny Hooper Brooks, James David Brooks and Thomas Lyle Brooks.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Manis Brooks; daughters, Ellen Yvonne Sizemore of Fort Worth, TX, Sandy Michell Brooks and Kandy R. Brooks; son, Randy Curtis Brooks all of Rogersville;2 grandchildren, Chase Sizemore and Levi Sizemore; 2 great grandchildren, Dominic Alexander Sizemore and Blake William Sizemore all of Fort Worth, TX; brother, Kenneth Edward Brooks and wife, Peggy Sue of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Steve Newhouse officiating.  Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Hawkins County Color Guard and Tennessee Army National Guard.
