Rogersville: William "Bill" "Red" Manis, age 71 of Rogersville, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2018 at Wellmont Hawkins County Memorial Hospital. He was saved and Baptised at an early age at Valley View Missionary Baptist Church. "Red" retired from Hawkins County Highway Department after 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Ella Linkous Manis.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ann James Manis of the home, son, William "Eddie" Manis and wife, Starr; grandson, William Nolan Manis all of Rogersville; sisters, Shelby Jean Manis of Church Hill, Sharon Mallory and husband, Don and Barbara Arnold and husband, Doug all of Surgoinsville, Brenda Porter and husband, Bob of Daytona Beach, FL, Carolyn Manis of Ocoee, FL, Anita Reams of Mohawk and Mary Ellen Brook and husband, Bill of Rogersville; brothers, John L. Manis and wife, Kitty, James Manis and Darrell Manis and wife, Sherelene all of Surgoinsville and Sammy Manis and wife, Suzanne of Church Hill; a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 15, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Arrington officiating. A private burial will be in Harrison Cemetery.
