ALLEN JONES Obituary

Robert Allen Jones, 51, of Rogersville, entered his heavenly home on February 15, 2026, with family by his side after a short battle with bladder cancer.  Allen was born to Larry and Margaret Jones on April 18, 1974.  As a child, he enjoyed showing miniature horses and helping on his family farm.  Allen graduated from Cherokee High School in 1992 and went on to work at Old Castle in Bulls Gap for 23 years.  He has been a faithful member of McCloud Baptist Church for 23 years.  Allen was a faithful Christian whose kindness and humor gained him many friends.  Once Allen came into your life you knew he would always be in it.  Of his many hobbies, his favorites included fishing, riding his Harley Davidson, tractor pulling, driving his Jeep and camping.  Attending church and listening to Bloodstained Christian Group was very special to him.  Above all,  Allen cherished spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, sister, and friends.  Family time meant everything to him.  Allen was preceded in death by his parents Larry and Margaret Chesnutt Jones, aunts Gail Shrier, Louise Parker and Sandra Davis, uncles, Eaurl Archer and Charles Davis, and very special friend Greg Schichl.

Allen is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Charleen Jones, four sons, Matt (Hannah) Duncan, Keifer Wilson, Damon (Allison) Wilson, and Zachary Wilson, sister Amy Jones, 8 grandchildren, Brayden, Harper, Price, Annie, Amara, Eli, Kylie and Mattie, several nieces and nephews, all of whom he treated and thought of like his own,  Allie (Kennedi), Steven, Brandon, Jacob, Jaden, Jayla and Jenna, aunts, Phyllis Archer and Gladys Collins, uncles, Gary (Bonnie) Chesnutt, Barry Chestnutt and Frank Chestnutt, and a host of cousins who meant so much to him, mother and father-in law Jimmy and Barbary Barnett and sister-in-law Angie (Bob) Griffaw.   Allen cherished every member of McCloud Baptist Church like family.  While cherishing all the friendships at Old Castle he especially valued the individuals in the maintenance department,  special friends, Les Coffey, Miriam Evans and Robbie Jones.

The family would like to express their appreciation to McCloud Baptist Church for their prayers and their steadfast walk with the family. The family would also like to thank the community for their prayers as well as Amedisys Hospice nurse Lisa who made the process a bit easier and who felt their pain.

Family will receive friend 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the chapel of Broome Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the chapel with Rev. Jamie Burton officiating.
