Beatrice Carpenter Williams, age 93, of Rogersville, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, at her residence following a brief illness. She was a member of Shepard's Chapel Baptist Church. Beatrice retired from Hawkins County Board of Education. She was a school teacher at St. Clair Elementary for many years. She loved to travel and visited all fifty states. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband Dale Bernett Williams, infant son Dale Steven Williams, parents, Allen and Effie Price Carpenter, and brothers, Burnett and Murlice Carpenter.
Survivors include her daughter Joanne Brooks (Gene) of Rogersville, son Jimmie Williams of Maryville, grandchildren, Rachel Horton (Josh), Gabe Brooks (Mahala) and Dru Williams (Brandon), great grandchildren Parker, Anna and Henry Horton, Sloane and Tate Brooks and soon arriving baby boy Williams, sister Aileen Miller of Maryland, brothers, Paul Carpenter (Wanda) of Kingsport and J.D. Carpenter (Doris) of Church Hill, sister-in-law Alma Carpenter of Surgoinsville, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, Monday, June 2, 2025, in Broome Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2025, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Johnny Carr officiating.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN.
