Betty "Cory" Ford Markham, 87, of Rogersville, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025, after a period of declining health. She was a member of Spires Chapel Baptist Church. Betty was employed with Cross Flower Shop for many years. She was preceded in death by husband J.C. Markham, parents Roy and Fannie Lipe Ford and Aunt Ollie Lipe, sisters, Mary Jean Ford, Darleen Simmons, Odith Cross, Jackie Skelton, Reese Dean, brothers, Jim Ford and Kenneth Ford.
Survivors include sons, Steve Markham and wife Angie of Rogersville, Tony Markham and wife Michelle of Surgoinsville, four grandchildren, Ryan Markham, Nick Markham, Travis Markham, and Savannah Mayes (Colton), sisters, Judy Ball (Buddy) and Shirley Armstrong, all of Rogersville, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special appreciation to the staff of Hawkins County Memorial Hospital.
Family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Spires Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Spires Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. John North and Cross Taylor officiating.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Highland Cemetery. For those who wish to attend the graveside service, please meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m.
