BILLY JOE HARRELL

Rogersville:  Billy Joe Harrell, age 90, of Rogersville, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Signature Healthcare of Rogersville after a period of declining health.  He was saved at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  Mr. Harrell was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  Mr. Harrell enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, playing and singing music, and truly loved working on his farm in Clouds Creek.  He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Sue Harrell, parents Charles K. and Amanda Brooks Harrell, sisters Mabel Harrell, Ida Carpenter, Dorothy Dye, Clara Jenkins, Lena Gray, Opal Winchell, brothers Martin, Ken, Todd, and John Harrell.

Survivors include sons Terry Joe Harrell, Phillip Harrell (Karen), Billy Harrell (Shannon), and Dennis Harrell all of Rogersville, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, sister Trixie Sue Harrell Clowers of Morristown, best friend Gary Wayne Hicks, Sr.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Jarod Harrell officiating.
