Chloe Geraldine (Gerry) Long, age 85, of St. Clair, went to her heavenly home on Monday, December 9, 2024. She attended Liberty Presbyterian Church for many years and currently was a member of Persia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Guy Long, parents, Tom and Mamie Hicks Brooks, sisters, Meta Absher, Mary Biggs, Clara Brooks, Zannie Hicks and brothers Harold and James Brooks.
Survivors include her daughter Linda McBride and husband Jimmy of St. Clair, sons, John Long and wife Vickie of Rogersville and Steve Long and wife Melissa of St. Clair, grandchildren, Andrew Long (Shea) of Knoxville, Samuel Long (Haven) of Rutledge, Emily and Taylor Long both of St. Clair, Caleb McBride of Nashville and Nathan McBride of St. Clair; great-granddaughter Sadie Long; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express appreciation to Amedisys Hospice for their kindness and care.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in the Broome Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Wisecarver officiating.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Liberty Community Cemetery. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are ask to meet at the funeral home by 12:45 p.m.
