Callie Mae Mowdy

Rogersville:  Callie Mae Mowdy, age 93, of Rogersville passed away November 1, 2022,  at her residence following an extended illness.  She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Eugene Mowdy, parents Alvin and Della Price Fain, sister Joyce Vance,  brothers Olsen, Deron, Carl, and Gene Fain, sister-in-law Lillian Horton.

Survivors include daughters Jamie Shifflett  of Birmingham, AL., Terri Alvis (Dennis), Renee Price (Brian) all of Rogersville, son Tony Mowdy (Becky) of Corryton, TN, grandchildren Daniel Alvis, Emily Elkins (Ben), Jeremy Mowdy (Misty), Sarah Hall (Rodney), Megan Barnard (Joey), Callie Church (Justin), Jordan Price (Meredith), Kelsie Price,  13 great grandchildren, sister Yvonne Russell of Rogersville, sisters-in-law Joyce Fain and Ruth Williams, several nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to extend special thanks to her caregivers Connie Jones and Betty York.  

Visitation hours will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022 in Broome Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ray Mullins and Rev. Jason Roach officiating.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2022 at Highland Cemetery.
