Charles Virgil Gilliam

ROGERSVILLE:  Charles Virgil Gilliam, age 78, of Rogersville passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at his home after a brief illness.  He retired from Tennessee Eastman. Virgil was preceded in death by his wife Judy Gilliam, parents Henry and Edith Carpenter Gilliam, and brothers Odell and Danny Gilliam.

Survivors include his daughters Teresa Cook and husband Bill of Church Hill, Laurinda Shanks and husband Mickey of Rogersville, son Rob Gilliam of Rogersville, step daughter Shaunna Mellons of Kingsport, step son Kirby Keaton of New York, seven grandchildren Chasity Burchfield, Brittany Bush, Alisha Bush, Dakota Bush, Breiydon Gilliam, Kaily Gilliam, and Austin Gilliam. Special friends, Wanda and Wendell Ward.

Visitation hours will be 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville, TN 37857

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2023 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Woody Tackett officiating.
