Eidson: Charles Harrison "Chuck" Simmons, Jr., age 73, of Eidson, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022 at Ballad Health Hancock County Hospital. After meeting Joyce at the University of Idaho in 1967, they were married May 30, 1969 in Moscow, ID. He served honorably as an officer in the U.S. Navy from 1971-1977. Chuck and his father shared a love of geneology tracing their family roots all the way back to Plymouth Colony. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a hero. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Charles Harrison Simmons, Sr. and Ruth Marie Peuckert Simmons.

He is survived by his wife 53 years, Joyce Ann Tauscher Simmons, daughter Tabitha Dawn Simmons and wife Katherine Sprague of Moscow, ID, Charles Harrison Simmons, III of the home, Aaron William Simmons, grandson Seth William Simmons both of Bluffton, SC.
