DAVID ERIC "RUDABAKER" MUNSEY

David Eric "Rudabaker" Munsey, age 72 of Rogersville, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Ballad Health Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by  parents, Earl "Bud" and Barbara Collier Munsey, soul mate Kathy Frost, step mother, Maxine Munsey, grandmother Elizabeth Munsey, who raised and influenced Eric's life. Eric was a mill wright worker who worked hard and partied hard. He loved going to the lake, boating and golfing.

Survivors include sisters, Donna Bailey of Greeneville and Janet Gillispie of Alabama, special nephew Brandon Bailey and wife Chelsea of Greeneville, nieces, Kara Taylor and husband Micah, Kristy Crook and husband Shawn, Brittany Crum and husband Zac and special uncle Otis Munsey, special cousin Samantha Munsey and husband Jeremy, granddaughter Emma Lane, grandsons, Tyler and Elijah Tunnell; great nieces and nephews, Jacques Taylor and wife Jessica, Aubrey Parkins, Gracie Bailey, Carson Crum, Cade Bailey and Aaron Cooke.

Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Sunday, February 8, 2026, in the Broome Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial service will be 3:00 P.M., Sunday, February 8, 2026, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Johnny Carr officiating.
