David Franklin Parvin, Sr., age 83, of Rogersville, passed away Friday evening, June 5, 2026, at Ballad Health Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. David retired from Tennessee Department of Transportation after 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Yvonne Parvin, parents Henry and Frances White Parvin, sisters, Irene Thomas, Mabel Evans, Verna Smith, Gladys Childress, Mildred Claiborne and Viola Day, brothers, Glenn Parvin, Henry T. Parvin, Jr, and Harlan Parvin.
Survivors include his sons, David (Lisa) Parvin, Jr., of Sevierville, Alan Parvin, Jake (April) Parvin, all of Rogersville, grandchildren, Seth (Katie) Parvin, Kaley (Zack) Duncan, Noah (Makenna) Parvin and Dustin (Megan) Russell, 8 great-grandchildren, sisters, Vergie Dykes and Wanda Parvin, both of Rogersville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in the chapel of Broome Funeral Home with Rev. Riley Jones officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Seth Parvin, Noah Parvin, Zack Duncan, Dustin Russell, Ryan Smith and Justin Smith.
Interment will follow in McKinney Cemetery.
