FRANCIS HORNE Obituary

Francis Howard Horne, age 85, of Rogersville, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at his residence following a period of declining health.  Francis was of the Methodist faith.  He retired from Kingsport Press after 35 years of service and enjoyed farming after his retirement.  He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Polly Falin Horne, sisters, Ruby Alice Sorple, Eva Jane Horne, Ida Elizabeth Horton, Pollyanna Horne, half sisters, Virgie Ledbetter, Betty Davis, Gladys Marshall, brothers, George Connor Horne and Robert Falin Horne.

Survivors include his wife of 64 yrs, JoAnne Miller Horne, daughter Dr. Eva Ann Horne of Manhattan, Kansas, sons, Michael Lynn Horne and wife Dr. Sherry L. Robbins of Knoxville, George Robert "Bobby" Horne and wife Sarah Grace of Rogersville, three grandchildren, Brandy Robbins-Horne, Wesley Allen Horne and Elana Grace Horne, sister Henrietta Horne of Johnson City, several nieces and nephews.  A special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their excellent care.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at McKinney Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Horne officiating.
