Glenn B. Evans, 82, of Rogersville, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Bristol Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health. He was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Glenn retired as a supervisor from Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency following 48 years of service. He was a member of the Overton Masonic Lodge #5 F & AM. Glenn served on the Rescue Squad for 17 years. He was preceded in death by wife Fayla Rimer Evans, parents Joe Porter and Mary Kathleen Moore Evans, brothers, Rex Porter Evans and Michael "Mickey" Evans.
Survivors include special friend and caregiver Nellie Wilt of Rogersville, sisters, Darlene Palmer (Bob) and Thelma Davis, both of Rogersville, step brother Jack Richards (Shirley) of Dayton, OH, special nephew and caregiver Allen Evans, special friend (sister) Helen Evans and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December, 13, 2023, in Broome Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December13, 2023, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ray Mullins officiating.
Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
