George Elec "Old Man" Yates, Sr.

Rogersville:  George Elec "Old Man" Yates, Sr., age 71, of Rogersville formerly of North Carolina, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his mother Bea Bennett Freeman, brother Jack Jarvis.

He survived by his daughter Jessica Garner of Kingsport, son George E. Yates, Jr. and wife Tammy of Rogersville, grandchildren Jade Yates, Elec Mitchell Yates, Roseana Yates, Hayleyana Garner, Elizabeth Garner, Adrianah Garner and Zacharius Enriquez, sister Cherie Gibble of Raleigh, NC, brothers Bill Freeman and wife Rose, Wayne Freeman and wife Joyce all of Salisbury, NC, Mike Freeman and wife Sharon of Phoenix, AZ, Ed Yates of Bowling Green, KY, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 P.M., Saturday, November 6, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brett Daniel officiating.
