Ida K. Baxter, age 98, of Rogersville, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at her home following a period of declining health. She was a charter member of Bible Baptist in North Parkersburg, West Virginia, and attended Persia Baptist Church after moving to Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Baxter, son Rodney Baxter, grandson Nathaniel Keller, parents Kenner and Glenna Barrett McAtee, and sister Marjorie Gilchrist.
Survivors include daughter Julie Kay Keller and husband John, son Michael Ray Baxter, all of Rogersville, 9 grandchildren, Amy Long, Megan (Noah) Gagstatter, Michelle, Tonya, Tara, and Traci Jo Baxter, Joshua and Charles Baxter, and Bradley (Lupe) Keller, 6 great-grandchildren, Gage, Dakota, Blake, Valen, Haisley and Lily, niece Rebecca Lofty and nephew Robert Gilchrist.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2026, at Otes United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Clevinger officiating. For those attending the graveside service please meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
