James "Jeff" Walter Grey, age 87, of Bulls Gap, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Greeneville Community Hospital East after a brief illness. James was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Joy Grey, parents, Rankin and Martha Jane Long, brothers, Mikey and Sonny Long.
Survivors include daughter Susan Grey of Bulls Gap, son Karl Grey (Tohnya) of Mosheim, two granddaughters, Tiffany (William) Turner and Brooke (Vince) Beall, three grandsons, Jordan Grey, Nathan Collins, and Braylan Collins, one great-grandson Easton Turner, one sister, Nellie Loveday of Franklin, Ohio, sister-in-law Sandy Long; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, special brother-in-law Larry Greene and special friends, Henry Johns and Rob and Abbi Mease. Pallbearers will be Jordan Grey, Nathan Collins, Vince Beall, William Turner, David Long, John Long, Charles Long, Tom Cramer, and Allen Cutshall.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in the Broome Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Carter and Rev. Danny Ricker officiating.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Persia Community Cemetery. For those that wish to attend the graveside service please meet at the funeral home by 11:45 a.m.
