JAMES JUNIOR "FROGGIE" HOLT

Rogersville: James Junior "Froggie" Holt age, 82, of Rogersville, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Ballad Health Holston Valley Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was a lifelong member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church. Jim was a craftsman and an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Martin Holt, parents Edgar Holt, Sr. and wife Cecil Hill Holt,  brothers Robert Holt and A. J. Holt and sister Ruby Armstrong.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years Cecile Burton Holt, daughters Melinda Miller (David) of Rogersville, Amanda Hames (Mark) of Granite Falls, NC, 7 grandchildren Taylor Miller, Kayla Pitman (Joel), Logan Phillips,Tyler Hames (Heather), Angel Holt, Tiffany Smith (Chris) and April Holt , 8 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Paula Holt, sisters Nancy Holt and Velma Gladwell, brother Junior Holt, special sister-in-law Frances Holt and a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to our caring neighbors and Signature Health Care of Rogersville.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Broome Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rex Cole and Pastor Tim Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at New Life Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
