Jeanette "Jeanie" Elkins Linkous, age 64, of Rogersville, met her Lord and Savior and gained her crown of righteousness on Sunday, January 25, 2026, after a sudden illness. Jeannie was preceded in death by her husband David Linkous, parents, Charles and Margaret "Susie" Elkins, sisters, Karen Hayes and Amy Gregg, nephew Brad Steele, and stepdaughter April Lowe.
She is survived by her sisters, Phyllis (Joel) McAdams of Morristown and Mandy (Steven) Jarvis of Las Vegas, NV, nieces, Milly Woods, Susie Ramsey, Rachel Morgan, and Rebekah Carper, nephews, Charlie Jarvis and Spencer Gregg, and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A special thanks to Oretha Harness, Jeanie's longtime neighbor and friend, for all the love and friendship they shared over the years.

Family will receive friends 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, in the chapel of Broome Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lee Ervin officiating.
Interment will follow at a later time in Elkins Carpenter Family Cemetery.
