Obituary

Rogersville: Jerry Lynn Sexton, age 71, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at his residence after a period of declining health. He was a member of East Rogersville Baptist Church. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents Doty and Cecile Grider Sexton, brother James Sexton, and special brother-in-law Garnet Davis.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Sexton of Rogersville, daughter Leslie Putnal and husband Jason of Rogersville, son Craig Sexton and wife Andrea of Paducah, KY, two grandchildren Cole and Cade Putnal, sisters Betty Davis of Hudson, FL, Evelyn Cole and husband Mike of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and brother Herbie Sexton and wife Anita of Indiana, sister-in-law Vickie Long and husband John of Rogersville, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023 in the Broome Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial service will be 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jason Royston and Pastor John Butler officiating.
