JESSE E. BEAN

Rogersville:  Jesse Bean, age 103, of Rogersville passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System after a period of declining health. Jesse was a member of Gills Chapel Baptist Church. He retired from IPC&L after 40 plus years of service. After retirement his passion was woodworking and building many unique items. He had a  vivid memory of his childhood growing up in Hawkins County. Jesse was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mack Sterling Bean and Hylah Leah Taylor Bean; his wife Liza Jones Bean; sisters, Alice Bean, Ruth Mize, Bell Delph; brothers, Alvin, Bill, Monroe, Walter and Earl Bean; son-in-law, Paul Davis.

He is survived by his son; Earnie (Barbara) Bean of Tulsa Oklahoma; daughters, Mildred (Dean) Geer and Barbara Davis of Rogersville; grandchildren, Roger Geer, Danny Bean and Whitney Sherman; great- grandchildren, Keaton, Jocelyn, Savannah and MaKenna; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.Friday, May 12, 2023 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 12, 2023 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jarod Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
