JIMMY DREW COFFEY

Rogersville: Jimmy Drew Coffey, age 76, of Rogersville, went to his heavenly home on May 22, 2023.  Jimmy was a kind and gentle soul that loved horses, telling stories, hunting and playing his guitar with his brother Wayne, nephew Tyler, and son Jimmy Lynn.   Jimmy was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy and second wife Eula, parents John and Leona Helton Coffey, brothers Johnny and Kenneth Coffey, sisters Margie Justice and Mary Ann Manis.

Survivors include daughter Kasey Scherer (Kenny) of Kingsport, son Jimmy Lynn Coffey  of Rogersville, grandchildren Justin Lawson of Rogersville, Kaiyah and Ashton Scherer of Kingsport, sister Alice Bailey (Lowell), brothers Billy Coffey (Kathy), E.J. Coffey and companion Sonya Hall, Wayne Coffey (Linda) all of Rogersville, several nieces and nephews.  A special thank you to Kyle Sellers, Howie McMillan, Ballad Health Hospice Nurse Sarah Beth Wright, Sonya Hall, Kathy Fultz, and Chris Manning.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023 in the Broome Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Bailey-Coffey Family Cemetery with Rev. Rex Cole officiating.
