John W. Giddings, Jr.

Rogersville: John W. Giddings, Jr., age 58, of Rogersville, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at  his residence after a brief illness. He was a born again Christian and a loving father and grandfather. John was a die hard Tennessee and NASCAR fan, and an avid golfer. He was employed by Barrette of Bulls Gap. John was preceded in death by his father, John W. Giddings, Sr. and maternal grandparents, Shirley and Dolly Hopkins.
Survivors include his wife, Donna K. Hipshire of the home; daughters, Angela Giddings (Raymond Ford) of Jefferson City, Sandra Rose Giddings of Ohio; step daughter, Michelle Linkous (Denny) of Kingsport, mother, Betty Oates  and husband, Bob of Morristown; sisters, Shirley Ward (Joe) and Donna Seal (Mike), both of Morristown; brothers, Jimmy Grant (Angie) and Bobby Oates, both of Morristown and David Giddings of Maryland; grandchildren, Cassie Wilder, Cheyenne Ford, Shelby Giddings and Braylee Giddings; a number of nieces, nephews; co- workers and many friends.
Visitation hours will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with  Michael Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Persia Cemetery.
