KITTY ANN NOYES Obituary

Kitty Ann Noyes, 62, died peacefully holding the hands of loved ones at her home in Whitesburg, TN, on August 4, 2024, after a long journey with Alzheimers.

The youngest of eight siblings, Kitty was born on August 22, 1961, to Rene and June Berard of South Burlington, VT. She graduated from South Burlington High School in 1979, and earned her Associates Degree in bookkeeping from Champlain College in 1982. Over the years, Kitty offered her bookkeeping services to many companies and entrepreneurs in Vermont: Berard Construction, Allan’s Excavating, The Vermont Wildflower Farm, JG Architects, TFM Construction, Camp Precast, as well as several others.

Kitty had a passion for horses and all of God’s creations from an early age, and developed a legacy of rescuing cats, birds, bunnies, and even the occasional opossum.

During the autumn of 1982, Kitty met Brian Noyes, and after three dates declared to her mother “I’m going to marry that man.” Six months later, Kitty and Brian were married at Community Bible Church on March 12, 1983, in South Burlington, VT. They began their family together in Burlington, VT, and shortly thereafter relocated to Bridport, VT.

In 1997, Kitty and family relocated to Milton, VT, and joined Cornerstone Community Church. Over the next decade, Kitty and Brian were very involved in the church community - Kitty became the church’s bookkeeper and helped organize the Golden Age Ministry, which provided community, meals, and support for seniors in the area. In 2016, Kitty and Brian relocated to Whitesburg, TN, and adopted a new church family at Crossroads Assembly of God in Rogersville.

Kitty is survived by her husband, Brian; son Malcom and his wife, Ashley, of Dandridge, TN, and their children Xander, Mia, Maddox, Ryker, and baby Kitty Adeline; son Clayton and his wife, Courtney, of Burlington, VT; sister Ilene Berard of Ocala, FL; sister Cherie Baldwin and her husband, Paul, of Leesburg FL; brother Allan Berard of Milton, VT; sister Bonnie Knaus and her husband, Bill, of St. Albans, VT; sister Melody Burke and her husband, Mike, of Grovespring, MO; sister Amber Forrest of Springfield, VT; cousin Kathy Berard Brown and her husband, Jeff Cornwell, of Fairfax VT; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her brother, Randy Berard, dear friend, Diana Mennig Smith, nephew, Matthew Burke, as well as many older friends who she blessed over the years.

There will be a visitation from 5-7pm on Thursday, August 8th, at Broome Funeral Home in Rogersville, TN, and a celebration of life at 10am on Friday, August 9th, at Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Rogersville, TN. There will also be a celebration of life for Vermont friends and family at 10am on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Cornerstone Community Church in Milton, VT.
