LARRY JOE TRENT

Larry Joe Trent, age 85, of Rogersville, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at Holston Manor, Kingsport, after a period of declining health.  He was a member of Caney Creek Missionary Baptist Church.  Larry was retired from International Playing Card & Label Company after many years of service.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Bobbie Shaw Trent, sisters, Pat Russell, Mary Ruth Ferrell and Violet Coward, brothers, Doyle and Guy Trent.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carol Trent, children, Jelaine Elkins and husband Joel of St. Clair, Darren Adams and wife Christina, Brent Adams and wife Wendy, all of Rogersville, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Persia Baptist Church Cemetery with Brent Adams officiating.
