LEWIS ANDREW BYRD

Lewis Andrew Byrd, age 85, of Rogersville, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, following a period of declining health.  He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church for many years. Lewis retired from IPC&L after 20 plus years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Nola Davis Byrd, sisters, Katherine Ann Johnson and Ina Mae Stapleton.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Faye Byrd, daughter Stacey Gillespie (Michael) of Rogersville, son Tim Byrd of Morristown, two grandchildren, Noah and Lauren Gillespie, brother James Howard Byrd of Kingsport, nieces and nephews, Jason Byrd, Karen Byrd, Robin Stapleton Floyd, Kathy Johnson Porter, and Jerry Johnson.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2025, at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens with Dr. Keith Osborne officiating.

For those that wish to attend the graveside service please meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m.
