Lolita D. Carter, age 85, of Rogersville, passed away April 17, 2024, after a period of declining health. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Treadway. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald F. Carter, parents, Carbet and Rose Bray Drinnon, sister Cora Sue Drinnon Wilder, brother Larry "L.C." Drinnon, Sr. and nephews, Mike and Chris Drinnon.
Survivors include sister Linda Faye Minor of Kingsport, nieces, Kim Wilburn (Joe) of Morristown, Carmon McBrayer of Knoxville, nephews, Larry Drinnon, Jr. (Hyla) of Mohawk, T.J. Wilder of Mt. Juliet, Billy Drinnon of Atlanta, Ga., several great nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Nancy Drinnon, and special caregivers, brother-in-law Tom Wilder and great niece Shaelyn McBrayer. The family wishes to express appreciation to the wonderful ICU staff at JCMC.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Drinnon Family Cemetery in Treadway. For those attending graveside service please meet at the cemetery by 10:30 a.m.
