 Larry Lynn Mullins, age 74, of Surgoinsville won his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia when he went to his heavenly home Monday July 8, 2024. He was saved at a young age at Howe's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was baptized in Big Creek by Rev. John Waye. Larry found a love for softball with his brothers, "The Big Creek Boys." He was later known for his homerun hitting and long drives on the golf course. He was a huge Tennessee sports and Atlanta Braves fan, but nothing compared for the love Larry had for his family. Larry was employed by Hawkins County Press / Quebecor for 33 years, and later served as custodian of First Baptist Church of Rogersville. Larry was preceded in death by parents Joe T. and Ethel Howerton Mullins, parents-in-law Richard and Mary Clay Lewis, sister Dorotha Bellamy, brothers, Glen Mullins, Fred Mullins and Earl Mullins, brothers-in-law, "Jug" Herman Bennett, Ron Gibbons and Larry Barton.

He was survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Christine Lewis Mullins, children, Emily Golden (Geremy), Elizabeth Lawson (Johnathan) and Kendrick Mullins, grandchildren, Briana Redding (Ben), Keaton Lawson, Kenner Golden, Lakin Lawson, soon to be great granddaughter Redding, granddog "Griffey", sister Jo Ann Bennett, brothers, Rev. Ray Mullins (Joyce) and Dennis Mullins  (Linda), brother-in-law Richard C. Lewis III,and Leo Bellamy, sisters-in-law, Martha Hampton (Steve), Katherine Gibbons, Cary Barton, Pat Mullins and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend thanks and gratitude to Sarah Byrd.

Visitation hours will be 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M,, Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Rogersville First Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be conducted  5:00 P.M., Thursday, July 11, 2024, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Howe's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
