Rogersville: Lonnie Hoard, age 78, of Rogersville, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at Ballad Health Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a member of Persia Baptist Church. In his early years he worked for Monroe's Body Shop for 20 years and was retired from Dodge following 10 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son Mike Hoard, parents Kenneth and Flora White Hoard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Gail Greene Hoard, daughters Tracy Trent and husband Pat, Lisa Brooks and husband Dwight all of Rogersville, grandchildren Jacob Hoard, Summer Brooks, Kolby Trent and Kaleb Trent, great-grandson Lucas Hoard, brothers Alan Hoard and wife Carolyn, Tommy Hoard and wife Linda all of Rogersville, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Broome Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norman Sauceman officiating. Burial will follow in Kite Cemetery.
