MARGARET BARNARD Obituary
Mooresburg: Margaret Jean Barnard, age 84, of Mooresburg, TN, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at her daughter's home after an extended illness. She was saved at an early age and was a member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church for 73 years. She lived her life to the fullest as a Christian woman for her Lord and Savior and tried to teach others about Jesus. Margaret was known for her apple butter making skills and cooking home made meals for her family. She was a loving mother of 6 children and loved by so many. She is preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Barnard, sons Glen Barnard and wife Frances, Billy Lee Barnard, parents Mark and Lizzie Burton, sisters Evelyn Stout, Monie Jones, Elizabeth Drinnon, Dorothy Burton, brothers Ray, Gale, and Luther Burton, half-sisters Ida and Nellie Helton, half-brother Earl Burton.
Survivors include her daughter Kathy Begley (Ray) of Rogersville, sons Raymond Barnard (Tina), L.C.Barnard (Sharon Johnson), Donnie Barnard (Tammy) all of Mooresburg, 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sisters Cecil Holt of Rogersville, Mildred Williams of Bulls Gap, and Helen Didanto of Mooresburg, a number of nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law Brenda Barnard of Mooresburg, special friends Shirley Lawson and Bonnie Brewer.
Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Broome Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 12, 2022, at the home of Margaret Barnard with Rev. Sammy Trent and Rev. Brad Winstead officiating.
Burial will follow at Carpenter Cemetery, Mooresburg, TN.
