MARLENE J. BROOKS

Marlene J. Brooks, age 85, of Rogersville, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024, following a period of declining health.  She was a member of Shepard's Chapel Baptist Church.  Marlene was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Brooks, son Mark Brooks, parents, Hubert "Ebbie" and Mattie Mustin Brooks, sisters, Irene Brooks and Peggy Long, brothers, Ivis Brooks and Ueal Brooks.

Survivors include her sister Vivian Vaughn and husband Danny of Rogersville, special nephew Gene Brooks and wife Joanne of Rogersville; brother-in-law, George Brooks and wife, Jean; several nephews, nieces and a host of friends.  The family would like to express appreciation to special caregivers, Julie, Tina, Kathy, Kadence, Mary Lou, Pam and the staff of Amedisys Hospice.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2024, in the Broome Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2024, in the funeral home chapel with Rev.Johnny Carr officiating.

Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
