MILDRED MURRELL MALLORY

Rogersville:  Mildred Murrell Mallory, age 89, born September 21, 1933, took flight to her heavenly home Wednesday, August 2, 2023 after a brief illness.  She was a member of Spires Chapel Baptist Church which she loved so dearly.   Mildred was a much loved wife, mother, and grandmother.    She was preceded in death by her special son Johnny Mallory, parents John and Maggie Murrell, sisters Eileen Horton, Helen Williams, Oclair Epps, Nellie Helton, niece Jennifer Clonce, and great-nephew Tyler Pollard.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years Sam Mallory, beloved daughter Teresa "Tee" Gourley of Talbott, grandchildren Todd (Xembra) Gourley of Morristown, Seth (Libby) Gourley of Knoxville, Samantha (Bill) Angelos of  Knoxville, great-granchildren Nicholas, Elliot, and Sophia Angelos, Roxie Maggie Gourley, bonus great-grandchildren Chamiqua and TaShawn Clabo, special nieces Cindy (Mike) Ward, Donna (Mark) Lynn,
Mary Jane (Darwin) Pollard, and many close friends and family members.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Spires Chapel Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Spires Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. John North officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
