Rodney Alan Baxter, age 74, of Rogersville, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. He retired from Morristown Drivers Service as a semi truck driver after many years of service. Rodney enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father Delbert Ray Baxter.
Survivors include his mother Ida McAtee Baxter, sister Julie Keller and husband John, brother Michael Baxter, all of Rogersville, nieces and nephews, Michelle, Tonya, Tara, and Traci Jo Baxter, Amy and Lily Long, Megan (Noah) Gagstatter, Joshua and Charles Baxter, Blake Long, Dakota and Gage Horner, Bradley (Lupe) Keller, great-niece Haisley and great-nephew Valen.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the chapel of Broome Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Otes United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Clevinger officiating.
