STEPHEN V. DEROSIA Obituary

Stephen V. Derosia, age 78, of Surgoinsville, TN, formerly of Brattleboro,Vermont, passed away Sunday evening, April 13, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church, Kingsport, TN. Stephen was the owner and operator of Derosia Plumbing and Heating in Brattleboro, VT, for 10 years.  Stephen was a U.S. Navy Veteran of 22 years, serving in  Vietnam and The Persian Gulf War.  He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard in between his active duty service enlistments.  Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Barbara Brooks Derosia, sister Mary Derosia and brother Larry Derosia.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Kris A. Derosia, sons, Matthew J. Derosia (Patricia) of Rogersville, Bryan E. Derosia of Jacksonville, NC, and Kevin D. Derosia (Sonya) of Prosperity, SC; four grandchildren, Kailee Brightbill, Kalvin Wyman, Ashley Derosia and Brandon Derosia; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Quinn Derosia, sister, Nancy Derosia of Townshend, VT,  brother Victor Derosia (Tammy) of Chesterfield, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Kingsport.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Kingsport with Father Andrew Crabtree officiating.

Interment will follow in the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
