Sonia Diane Rimer

Rogersville:  Sonia Diane Tomes Rimer, age 61, of Rogersville, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Church Hill Health Care & Rehab.  For many years Mr. and Mrs. Rimer made a home for children through fostering and adoption.  She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Tomes and Ester Badillo Tomes, step-mother Pauline Tomes, sisters Jeanie Robb and Patty Rothacker.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Eddie Dean Rimer, daughters Brittany Rimer of Morristown, Breanna Rimer of Santa Monica, CA, Alisha Rimer of Rogersville, sons Adam Rimer of Andrews, TX, Brian Rimer of IL, Patrick Rimer and wife Jennifer of Bedford, KY, Kyle Rimer and wife Krissy of Rogersville, Timothy Rimer of Morristown, Daniel Rimer and David Rimer both of Greeneville, Marcus Rimer and Javez Rimer both of Rogersville, numerous grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters Candy Bower and husband Chris of Fletcher, NC, Kathy Moorehead and husband Bob of Winston-Salem, NC, Sheila Kobella and husband Jack of Wesley Chapel, FL, brothers Ted Tomes and wife Josie of Mexico, IN, Tony Tomes and wife Becky of Hampstead, NC and Oze Renfro of Rogersville, several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at a later date.
